Debbie Charlwood is the sole Director of Organised Occasions. Based in Sutherland, she is a single mum, raising three young men, whilst running her business. Organised Occasions was established in 1996 and is progressively becoming a sought after service. As the name suggests she organises a variety of occasions. The growing client base of predominately busy people, tend to lack the time to organise social events, be it personal or corporate. She takes the worry and hassle away from organising successful day trips, overnight or weekend getaways, as well as functions & events.

In the past, Debbie has donated her time & experience to St Josephs Junior Rugby League Football Club, organising golf days, & other fundraising events. In 2013 they celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a Dinner Celebration for 200 people. Congratulations Joeys!

Debbie has also been an Administrator for the Menai & Sutherland Districts Business Chamber, Surry Hills Business Chamber & Georges River Business Chamber. Maintaining memberships & organising their meetings. Either breakfast, lunch, or after 5 drinks. She is passionate about bringing the community together with everyone supporting each other. Providing networking opportunities & support for small local businesses.

Sutherland Shire Auto Centre at Kirrawee are utilising Debbie’s services for Marketing via social media & networking. Maintaining a database & customer contact. Developing relationships to improve the awareness of the workshop to clients. Helping to grow the business client database, maintain communication & build relationships to provide the client with information regarding their vehicles maintenance program. We take the stress out of servicing your vehicle, so bring your car to the people you know & trust!

Word of mouth & networking has been a major aspect of marketing this business, and over the years Debbie has attended seminars & workshops, continually learning to help the business grow. The business is successful due to her determination, energy & enthusiasm for focusing on people and their social needs. She is first and foremost a mother to her 3 sons & is passionate about making the most of her life experiences. The belief that she can achieve anything and everything if she has the dedication, passion and persistence to do so, has guided her through her toughest challenges.

Exceptional client service is about going beyond what is realistically expected of you. It is about surprising, and often delighting, customers, turning them into enthusiastic referral sources and lifelong clients who stick with you not only because you do great work at a fair price, but because the value you bring to them goes far beyond just your products.

Debbie is one of those rare individuals that picture an event and then take care of every last detail to bring the event to life. She is very creative and strong enough to ensure that nothing can stand in the way of her organising a good time.

Debbie has been the Social Chairman of all activities at Joeys for a number of years now. This is not an easy job when you are trying to get a big group of people together who don’t really know each other. Events over the past few years that Debbie has co-ordinated include our Annual Golf Day, A Bar and Band night including live entertainment, an Italian Trivia night in a local hall fully catered for, all events with around 100 guests. Just last year she controlled our 50^th Anniversary Celebration ball for close to 200 people which involved tracking down many older club members, invitations, name badges, decorating, a live band, and the order of proceedings. This year she is organising our Casino Royale Night which looks like being a huge success.

Debbie is very dependable and reliable and will not rest until all the finer details are resolved. She is meticulous with her planning and is very easy to get along with, even when under the pressure of delivering the goods at the occasion. She has recently introduced an online booking system which has completely overhauled the way bookings and money are taken which has streamlined the whole event from beginning to end.
