On a cool July morning, together we’ll travel through the spectacular Blue Mountains. Relax in one of the original compartment cars or perhaps head for the unique Observation Parlor Car for a drink with friends & enjoy superb meals in one of the two dining cars. After a night in Orange the train line passes Parkes then leaves major roads behind, passing remote towns such as Bogan Gate, Euabalong West, Ivanhoe & Menindee before arriving for your three night stay in the ‘Silver City’ – Broken Hill.

You’ll have time to explore this unique & quirky outback town on your own before we head off to visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Miners Memorial, Sulphide Street Museum & Living Desert & Sculptures. We’ll gather at the Mundi Mundi Plains Lookout for sundowners with views stretching forever, have an authentic pub meal at the Silverton Hotel & enjoy dinner ‘Priscilla’ style at the iconic Palace Hotel.

The train then returns to Orange for two nights. There’s a morning to explore before we head to nearby 1,390 metre high Mount Canobolas to take in the surrounding views. An extinct volcano, it provides fertile soils for the surrounding vineyards, one of which is our venue for farewell drinks. The train will then head back through the Blue Mountains for Sydney.

This truly is the heritage rail tour of a lifetime.
