Your choice of Oakfield Ranch Camel Ride OR Nelson Bay Ferry to Tea Gardens.

Other options include Barramundi Farm, Oakvale Wildlife Park, Fighter World, Irukandji Shark & Ray Encounters or Medowie Macadamias.

Friday 1st March

Departing Sutherland approx 3:30pm & Randwick 4:30pm (contact Debbie for other options), with a comfort stop along the way we head to the Marina Resort in the heart of Nelson Bay. Some rooms have Garden views right beside the pool and others have glorious views over Nelson Bay.

A visit to The Country Club is the ultimate East Coast experience, loved by locals & visitors alike for its incredible beachfront location, vibrant atmosphere & historical charisma.

Saturday 2nd March

Breakfast is a hot/cold buffet, served in the 4th floor restaurant overlooking the harbour with magnificent views.

Drop off to Nelson Bay Golf Course or Nelson Bay or Fingal Bay Bowling Club & then we continue the tour.

Depending on interest at time of booking we can drop off to Barramundi Farm, Oakvale Wildlife Park, Fighter World, Irukandji Shark & Ray Encounters or Medowie Macadamias.

Once all back on board we visit Tilligerry Habitat Reserve, a 9 ha flora & fauna reserve along a sandy foreshore on Tanilba Bay between the townships of Tanilba Bay a& Mallabula. Enjoy easy walking tracks on gravel paths & boardwalks, hoping to see the occasional koala, echidna & bandicoot in the wild. We tour through Historic Tanilba House​, a unique property set on 3 acres of established gardens overlooking picturesque Port Stephens. Club Lemon Tree, where we are lunching, is located in the town of Lemon Tree Passage on the Tilligerry Peninsula.

Murray’s Craft Brewing Co shares its home with Port Stephens Winery, the region’s oldest vineyard. Murray’s “Gentleman Smith” craft gin & vodka range is a perfect complement to their beer, wine & cider offerings.

Situated on the hilltop behind the brewery, Wonganella Estate overlooks the vineyard with views expanding over Tilligerry Creek.

Enjoy an Oakfield Ranch Camel Ride or a Nelson Bay ferry to Tea Gardens.

Dining at the Bay Brasserie @ Wests Nelson Bay, take the time to peruse the menu & visit the fresh seafood cabinet to see the ‘catch of the day’, before choosing your meal. The theme of the night is tropical!

Sunday 3rd March

Breakfast once again, is a hot/cold buffet, served in the 4th floor restaurant overlooking the harbour with magnificent views.

After breakfast we pack the coach & will then head off to the Nelson Bay Legacy Markets. As we begin to head home, a stop at Inner City Winemakers cellar door & winery to sample their unique range of wines. The Olive Tree Market is part of the renaissance currently taking place in Newcastle’s artisan community, & FogHorn Brewhouse, always changing, always unique & distinctive, also serves a range of sparkling wine, white wine, red wine & spirits.  

The Wyong Milk Factory, on the river, established in 1906 has been lovingly restored, saved & salvaged. You can enjoy the local produce at the Tavern, Cafe & from an award winning producer of cheese & yoghurt & hand crafted gourmet chocolatier!

 Accommodation

Marina Resort offers accommodation in Nelson Bay, overlooking Nelson Bay Marina. 

The rooms are located on the middle levels of the hotel & have balconies & views out over the harbour.  All the rooms have a queen bed & a single bed. There is a lift in the building & all rooms have a bath & a separate shower unit.

There are 2 rooms on the ground floor with disabled hand railing in the bathrooms & open access showers, but these rooms do not have a view.

Please note tickets are non-refundable so once you buy a ticket the only way you can get a refund is if the promoter has to cancel the entire event.

Package is subject to a minimum combined group booking of 10 people for transportation to be viable.
